waves

I could go to the beach every day during the summer.  It's a shame that we don't do this!  There is nothing more relaxing to me than hearing waves and feeling sunshine.  And it's such a blast to be with the kids on the beach, too!  The kids and I went to my favorite beach one morning and had it all to ourselves the entire two hours we were there!!  So rejuvenating to be able to relax and let the kids roam free.  It was warm, sunny, and breezy and they had the time of their lives just running together, chasing seagulls, laying in the sun, playing in the sand.  I think it's officially a tradition for us to do this on the last Friday before school starts since it's exactly what we did last year, too.  My favorite thing about this day was to just sit and admire my kids: their different personalities, their childhood, their innocence, their adorable bodies, their spirit.  They are mine!!!  I am so blessed and maybe it's the combination of the shining sun, the warmth, the waves, the freedom, the laughter, the kisses, but my eyes get wet and my heart so full.  Amazing God!!  I love these kiddos!

Natalie is quite the poser these days.  She made sure I got a picture of her like this!
