This guy asked JESUS into his heart tonight! We watched a real-life Jesus movie given to us by a man at a Dollar Store. The movie was well done! At the end, the children telling the story invited the viewer to pray the prayer to ask Jesus into their heart. He starts and Charlie starts to repeat out loud after him!! It will go down as one of the most beautiful moments of my life! So proud of him and eternally grateful to God for the gift of Jesus! ❤❤

Jones
Went to the Great grandparents last night. They don't have much but they have each other, their family, their special memories, and their faith. People: it's what they have sought after with their lives. This is grandma's hand-sewn quilt and I feel like it represents their intricately beautiful life story even though their lives have been entirely simple. They have sought after what matters most, and it has been the most beautiful masterpiece.

Emmy
It was just another day at the 'hair salon' when my hairdresser gave me an unexpected trim! When you're not expecting to hear the sound of scissors, you freak out a little (sorry Emma!) Luckily it was only half an inch off from 5 strands of hair!
These walks in the neighborhood. Slow and so sweet!
When Emmy naps, she is ethereal! Sometimes, her eyes are still half open while she's sleeping!
The big kids started school... Emmy started Bible Study Fellowship again. She learns so much through this program. One day she told me that 'The sheep knows the Shepherd and the Shepherd knows the sheeps.' I don't think I'll ever forget that! We got into a routine with Bible Study where we'd swing through the Wendy's down the road. From one of the first times we went there and consistently through the year, she would say hi to the lady on the intercom, Ms. Mary! We built a relationship with her and looked forward to seeing her each time we went! We learned that she also loves Jesus, her joy was so evident! Emmy was the reason for that relationship!

summer of 2016
Summer equals:
DECK DATES!
libraryThis summer we got a new vehicle! Charlie was saddened by this! I asked him which vehicle he liked better and he said the new one but the old one has all of the memories in it! So true!
BOATING!
Family!
Using the magnifying glass to create fire!
Candy store at the cottage!
Neighbors and grilling.
The Pool! Charlie learned to swim like a pro, Emmy treaded water when she snuck in without her swimmies and held her breath for dear life!
Dancing....
Injuries...!
Strawberry picking....
The beach!
Climbing dunes.
Fishing!
Outside meal prep and dinners!
Soft Spot!
Date nights!
Emmy learned to ride on 2 wheels so she earned herself a new bike!
Splash pads and all things water!
Summer, you were so good to us and we will never forget the summer of 2016!
